Historically, women in the 1800's used scraps of wool to make table mats or decorations for their home.  The term penny came from the small coins used as a template to create the wool circles.  Pennies were occasionally sewn into the mat for weight but is rare.

I've always wanted to design a red sweatshirt.  This winter I've taken the time to create a snowman and snowflake design.  This is a true red "Jerzee" sweatshirt.  There is no bottom trim.  This sweatshirt is also available with the bottom patchwork trim.
